The Express Team
Bill:
Sole owner and president.
He has been in the cleaning business for over 20 years. He ran his own successful janitorial and hard-floor maintenance company for 6 years before he sold it to move into a line of work that wouldn't require so many late nights away from his family. He then co-owned a sign-making company for several years before returning to the industry he loved--this time on the carpet cleaning and restoration side. He grew his business successfully for 7 years before partnering with Nate Murphy to open Express Distributing. Bill realized that few cleaners want to buy product and service from their competitors, so he sold his cleaning business. Nate was wise enough to note that Bill had a habit of growing bored with his businesses once they became successful, so he designed their contract in such a way as to keep Bill roped to this company, and he has now run the company for 13 years. In 2008 Bill bought out Nate's share of the company and now is the sole owner.
Bill tries to keep up with the state-of-the-art in the cleaning and restoration field, and creative drying applications are a particular passion of his. He also likes to maintain personal relationships with his customers. He has been known to consult with customers on large water losses, occasionally even working with them on the job site.
His passions outside of work include hunting and fishing (don't expect to see him in the office much during hunting season), camping, boating, wine making (he's becoming rather good at it!), and engaging in religious education work--especially among the deaf/ASL community.
Morgan:
Service manager.
Morgan has been with Express for 11 years. Before that he spent time working as an automotive mechanic and before that he worked in his family's fabrication facility building folding camp stoves out of sheet-metal. He has the patience of several (impatient) men, and can walk almost any customer through a difficult troubleshoot. If you bring your van in for service, he can find the problem without as much grumbling (and really, who doesn't prefer to see what they are working on?). While he can strike some as gruff initially, those who know him trust him implicitly and realize that he's a great guy who cares about his customers.
Morgan is industry certified in small engine and truckmount repair and has even won several regional awards.
He loves to work with his hands, whether it be repairing project vehicles, building sculptures out of engine parts, or cooking. Yes, that's right... Morgan is an excellent cook.
Jamin:
Office/sales manager.
Jamin has been involved with the cleaning industry nearly his whole life. As a child he often helped his dad (Bill) out with janitorial, hard-floor, carpet cleaning, and restoration jobs. After high school, Jamin went to work for a large carpet cleaning company here in Billings and gathered a ton of practical knowledge and experience. After about 5 years he came to work here at Express, which is where he's been for about 6 years now. He was the manager/sole employee of the Missoula store for 2 years, until it was closed due to recession and personnel shortages here in Billings.
Jamin is our resource here for technical cleaning questions, whether they be about product usage, techniques, or anything else. He knows our product lines well and has a lot of personal experience to back up his answers. In the cases where he doesn't know an answer, he usually knows how to get in touch with someone who does. He has only very limited knowledge of mechanical issues, however. He can help fix and troubleshoot some very basic problems, but don't expect him to tell you how to fix your alternator.
Jamin enjoys video games, reading, music and hanging out with his friends. He sometimes butts heads with his dad, but usually they are arguing the same point and just approaching it from different angles.
